I was at a local coffee shop doing some writing and took a break to flip through the pages of a magazine. I stopped on this page, took off my glasses and dropped them on the table - not thinking about what I was doing.
When I looked down I noticed the man in the photograph was wearing my glasses. I took out my phone and snapped this picture. I liked it enough that I eventually printed it and now it hangs on my office wall.
The use of pre-existing art work to create your own art work is known in the art world as “appropriation.”
