Hartford Circus Fire - July 6, 1944

 Is it possible to capture the weight of a historic moment in time, many years later, with a camera?

That is the challenge I presented myself when I visited the site of the 1944 circus fire in Hartford, Connecticut. It was a tragedy I had heard about most of my life, growing up in the Hartford region, but had never investigated on my own.
