Preserving What We Can

The William C. Ellis company was one of the oldest businesses in Memphis, Tennessee until a few years ago.

Now it is the site of a future development a few blocks from Beale St., the city’s main entertainment district.

But it would be a shame to completely erase this connection to the past so the facade of the main building is being saved. The new development will be wrapped behind it.
