Common Still Life

Winter has a sound in my house. The sound of the steam radiator.

Whistling like a teapot and signaling a rush of super heated water through the slowly rusting cast iron contraptions that make furniture placement difficult, but keep the house evenly blanketed against the winter cold. It is a welcome comforting sound.
